I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and run-up to New Year. I had a brilliant time at home with my family, and although Ben and I didn’t really stop (driving all over the place to visit family members), it was lovely. We spent most of the time back in Suffolk, and I just wanted to show you some of the highlights of my time back home. I will be putting up a post on 2014 In Review and going over some New Years Resolutions, but unfortunately I will be working tonight, so it will have to wait until we have actually started the New Year. So until then, enjoy one last blast of festive cheer with my photos of Christmas in Suffolk!
I arrived back home just in time to help Mum with the decorations…
We’ve had this fairy on top of the tree at Christmas ever since I can remember. She’s a bit dated, but it wouldn’t be the same without her around. However, we also added a new touch or two to the house:
Well, with Mum’s partner and Ben both staying with us over the holidays, it would be rude not to!
Christmas Day itself involved opening our stockings…
…Going for a wander in the countryside before lunch…
This was followed by an absolute beast of a Christmas dinner (also known as Heaven On A Plate)…
After the serenity of Christmas Day, we had a rather busy few days zipping back and forth to Ben’s parents for Boxing Day, then up to visit my Dad, who was hosting my sister, his partner, and a family friend, for Christmas Round 2:
And then back to my mum’s for a final day of over-eating and country rambling in the glorious winter sunshine…
That’s it for now! I loved every second of my time back home, and I can’t wait to make another escape to the country soon.
If you’re out tonight celebrating the New Year, I hope you have a great time. Have fun and stay safe! For those of you who, like me, will be working, good luck! Thank you to each and every one of you for the likes and follows the past few months. I am very grateful for every like and follow my little space on the web has generated, and I hope I can keep you all coming back next year!
I wish you all a very Happy New Year! May it bring you joy, success and fulfilment, and plenty of time spent with the ones you love.
But, but, but, where are the pictures of Ben?
